About I-CE
|
I-CE operates as an interface, bringing about exchange and cooperation between professionals, governors and civil society. I-CE provides both to developing countries, as well as on the European market:
- technical assistance for policy and project formulation, planning, engineering and design,
- capacity-building through interactive training on cycle-inclusive policies and facilities, sustainable mobility,
- transfer of know-how, practice and experience, enabling access to source knowledge and exchange of information,
- research into cycling issues to further knowledge and understanding,
- publication and dissemination of cycle- and cycling-related studies, brochures and books.
To support policy development in developing countries, I-CE created the Bicycle Partnership Program. Direct beneficiaries of this program are cities and civil society organisations. The civil society organisations exchange their experiences in regional Locomotives networks, named after a previous support program by I-CE. Research in relation to the Bicycle Partnership Program takes place in the Cycling Academic Network. I-CE initiated a Dutch network of experts, cycling.nl, to take part in assistance, training and coaching. The Cycling Lab is I-CE’s entity for Research and Development. The BPP, the Locomotives network, CAN, cycling.nl and the Cycling Lab all have separate web sites. |
